Case Studies / Romak Dental Laboratory

Romak Dental Laboratory

Romak is a full-service UK dental laboratory for dentists offering a full range of high-quality aesthetic solutions to dental practices nationwide – from prosthetics to implants.

Romak Dental Laboratory WordPress website, showcasing dental solutions and eCommerce capabilities.

The Challenge

Romak needed a modern website that would reflect the precision, professionalism and quality they’re known for as a full-service dental laboratory. The goal was to present Romak as a trusted partner for dental professionals, while showcasing their in-house capabilities, digital workflow, and direct-to-dentist services. The website also had to support their eCommerce goals and position them as a forward-thinking lab in a competitive UK market.

Our Approach

We crafted a homepage designed to engage from the first scroll. A bold hero carousel leads with three powerful messages: Romak’s lab-based prosthetic services, their exclusive ALS Dentuvo digital denture system, and their unwavering focus on product quality and client care.

An animated stats section follows, quickly establishing Romak’s credibility: over 100,000 dentures crafted, 20+ years in the industry, 200+ dental clients across the UK, and a 100% customer care commitment. This snapshot of success helps immediately build trust with potential clients.

To support both clinical and commercial goals, we added a featured products section that highlights top-selling dental products available in Romak’s integrated online shop. This functionality gives patients an easy way to order dental essentials directly, blending convenience with professional service.

A structured service grid introduces Romak’s core offerings, such as dental implants, dentures, and Orthodontic Appliances, with each thumbnail linking to its own detailed service page. Alongside this, we introduced a branded section to promote ALS, Romak’s parent company, with three visual links to the ALS website and additional lab services.

To build further trust, we embedded a testimonial and a behind-the-scenes video showing the lab in action, giving dentists a transparent look at the team, equipment, and environment behind every product. This real-world view reinforces Romak’s professionalism and care.

The homepage also includes a preview of the most frequently asked questions (with a link to the full FAQ page), featured blog content to keep patients and dental professionals informed, and a strong final call-to-action encouraging dentists to contact the team or request a callback.

Behind the homepage, the site architecture supports deeper engagement. Subpages include a detailed ‘About Us’ section with team bios and a gallery of the lab at work, a fully categorised ‘Services’ area, dentist-focused contact pages, a dentist-resources downloads section, an educational blog, and a online shop.

The Result

Romak’s new website is fast, modern, and fully responsive. It balances professional credibility with ease of use, giving dentists across the UK the confidence to partner with a lab that delivers both outstanding results and excellent customer care.

Case Studies / At The Bench Academy

At The Bench Academy

At The Bench Academy teaches you all the skills needed to be able to make professional jewellery from home. Within one year we will take you from complete beginner to a professional jeweller.

At The Bench Academy online jewellery diploma platform with structured training and video learning

The Challenge

At The Bench, a successful online learning platform for jewellers, identified a growing demand for accredited qualifications in the industry. While their existing platform offered high-quality video courses, students wanted formal recognition of their skills through a diploma.

The goal: to launch At The Bench Academy, a new online diploma program, while leveraging their existing audience of 37,000+ members.

The Opportunity

Inspired by At The Bench’s success in blending practical training with professional development, the Jewellery Academy was designed to offer:

01. A Recognised Diploma Programme

  • Structured courses mirroring industry standards.
  • Flexible Online Learning – Students study at their own pace with tutor support.
  • Accreditation Partnerships – Working with jewellery trade bodies to ensure credibility.

02. Engaging & Interactive Learning

  • Live Workshops – Monthly Zoom sessions with master jewellers.
  • Peer Feedback – An online community for critiques and networking.
  • Practical Assignments – Students submit work for professional assessment.

03. Infrastructure Built for Performance

To ensure reliability and scalability, the academy was built on:

  • WordPress Core: Chosen for its stability, SEO advantages, and ease of use, critical for managing hundreds of students and courses.
  • Course Management Module: Handles drip content, quizzes, and certifications, integrating smoothly with the existing video library.
  • Amazon S3 Video Hosting: Ensures global, low-latency streaming of high-definition tutorials.
  • Expiring Links: Dynamic URL expiration prevents unauthorized content sharing, protecting premium courses.
  • Custom HTML5 Player: Designed for jewellery training, with frame-by-frame playback, slow-motion controls, and annotation tools for precise technique analysis.

The Result

Within just four months of launch, the Jewellery Academy exceeded all expectations:

  • Study quotas for the 2024-2025 academic year were fully booked, far ahead of projections.
  • Early applications for 2025-2026 intake began rolling in, demonstrating strong long-term interest.

This surge in demand confirmed a gap in the market for accredited, flexible jewellery education and proved that the transition from video tutorials to a formal diploma was the right strategic move.

Arian Financial Planning

Arian Financial Planning provides award-winning independent financial advice to people from all walks of life.

Arian Financial Planning website redesign showcasing independent financial advice services

The Challenge

While their reputation in the industry was strong, their existing website no longer reflected the quality of their service or the level of trust required in the financial sector.

The key challenges were:

  • The website lacked clarity in presenting complex financial services
  • User journeys were not optimised for enquiries or lead generation
  • The design did not fully reflect the professionalism and authority of the brand
  • Content structure made it difficult for users to quickly find relevant advice areas such as pensions, investments, and retirement planning

The goal was to create a modern, trustworthy, and conversion-focused website that better communicated Arian’s expertise and made it easier for users to take the next step.

Our Approach

We redesigned the site with a clean, professional layout that immediately builds trust. The visual style was refined to reflect stability, clarity, and financial expertise, using structured spacing, strong typography, and calm, confident branding.

Key improvements included:

  • Simplified navigation for faster access to services
  • Clear service hierarchy for financial planning areas
  • Strong hero messaging to communicate trust and authority instantly

We also improved:

  • Contact accessibility across key pages
  • Clear pathways from informational content to enquiry
  • Trust signals placed throughout (awards, credibility markers, and expertise highlights)

Alongside the redesign, we improved the technical foundation of the site to support long-term growth:

  • Cleaner WordPress build for faster performance
  • Improved on-page SEO structure for financial service keywords
  • Better content hierarchy to support search visibility
  • Mobile-first optimisation for user accessibility across devices

Andrew Berry Jewellery is an independent jewellery business based in South Wales. They specialise in bespoke engagement rings, wedding bands, and fine jewellery.

Andrew Berry Jewellery eCommerce website redesign case study built on WordPress and WooCommerce with improved user experience

The Challenge

The original site had become visually dated and lacked a clear structure for product discovery. Our goal was to create a more guided customer journey that would make it easier for users to browse collections, discover products, and move smoothly through to checkout.

Our Approach

A key part of the redesign was rebuilding the homepage around a clear content hierarchy. Instead of a generic layout, we introduced structured sections that actively support how customers shop, including areas for categories, trending products, Hot Diamonds collections, watch and jewellery sales, gift ideas, and special occasions. This approach turned the homepage into a more purposeful entry point rather than just a static landing page.

Alongside the visual and structural improvements, we focused heavily on enhancing the commercial performance of the store. We implemented abandoned cart functionality to help recover lost sales, flexible shipping rules that calculate costs based on weight or basket value, and introduced gift cards to support gifting behaviour and increase order value. A points and rewards system was also added to encourage repeat purchases and long-term customer loyalty.

We also improved the wishlist experience, refining the user flow so customers can save products more easily and return to them later without friction. Small UX improvements like this contributed to a smoother, more considered shopping journey overall.

The Result

The rebuilt site is now more than just a visual update. It provides a stronger foundation for growth, with improved usability, better product discovery, and a clearer path from browsing to purchase, all while remaining flexible for future development.
